SHOTS-FIRED INCIDENT AT VETERANS PARK IN LEHIGH ACRES
The unknown black male (pictured) is a person of interest in an active @SheriffLeeFL Violent Crimes Unit investigation regarding an aggravated battery with a deadly weapon that occurred at Veterans Park in Lehigh Acres
The LCSO Violent Crimes Unit is investigating a large disturbance at Veterans Park that resulted in shots fired into the air.
One injury has been reported; it is not a gunshot wound.
The suspect is in custody. Veterans Park remains closed as the investigation continues.
Law an Order Sheriff Carmine Marceno addressed the media today regarding several significant incidents resulting in arrests this past weekend. “It’s a new year, but the mission still remains: we will have law and order in Lee County,” said Sheriff Marceno.
