Lee County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with the United Way ReUnite program
ReUnite is a community based collaborative between United Way and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. It is offered free of charge for individuals with cognitive and/or behavioral disorders and their caregivers.
ReUnite is a multi-layered program that incorporates the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Aviation Unit, drones, and a group of certified bloodhounds – specifically designated for search and rescue operations.
The primary objective of the program is to provide peace of mind to caregivers of individuals who have a history of wandering. This program provides families with a free scent kit. These kits aid first responders in search and rescue operations by equipping them with critical information in the event the at-risk individual becomes lost.
