Salary: $58,656 – $115,500 (Negotiable – based upon experience and skills)

Role and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior System Administrator to manage and maintain our complex and evolving hybrid IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with vSphere, hybrid Active Directory (on-premises and Entra ID), Microsoft 365 administration, enterprise backup solutions, and SAN/NAS storage technologies. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with a deep understanding of enterprise-level systems and a dedication to ensuring high availability, performance, and security.
- Manage and maintain the VMware vSphere environment, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual machines.
- Manage a hybrid identity environment involving on-premises Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, ensuring seamless synchronization and single sign-on (SSO) for users.
- Serve as the primary administrator for Microsoft 365, managing user accounts, licenses, Exchange Online Teams, and SharePoint Online.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
- Provision, configure and monitor SAN and NAS storage systems, including zoning, LUN provisioning, and datastore management.
- Perform storage capacity analysis, planning and optimization.
- Oversee enterprise backup solutions for virtual machines and critical data, and conduct regular disaster recovery testing.
- Develop and implement PowerShell scripts to automate routine administrative tasks and improve efficiency.
- Perform system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning for all infrastructure components.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and departments to resolve complex technical problems.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for system configurations and standard operating procedures.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical system incidents.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in virtualization, storage, and systems administration.
- Must be willing to work during emergencies, including national disasters such as hurricanes.
Physical Demands:
- Bend, walk, sit, stand for long periods, see, hear, speak, manual dexterity, ambulate independently, tolerate strong odors and able to lift 50 lbs. Able to work in outdoor or non-A/C environments with temperatures excess of 90 degrees.
Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old, or older
- Must have obtained a high school diploma or GED
- Must be a US Citizen or possess a current permanent resident card
- Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License or state issued ID card
- Must possess a Social Security Card
- Must not have been convicted of a felony
- Must not have used illegal drugs in the last 12 months
- Must not have received a dishonorable discharge from the United States Armed Forces
- Must be able to work various shifts with rotating days off, as well as weekends, holidays and emergency events such as hurricanes
- Must be able to speak, write and understand the English language
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator in an enterprise environment or in a similar role.
- Extensive experience with VMware vSphere administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Active Directory management and administration.
- Proven experience with the administration of hybrid Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including managing synchronization with Microsoft Entra Connect.
- Deep expertise in managing Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Extensive hands-on experience with server hardware, hypervisor management systems and RAID configurations.
- Strong understanding and experience of maintaining and troubleshooting email security solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with maintaining and troubleshooting Windows Server operating systems and features (i.e Network Policy Server, DHCP/DNS services, Print Server, ISS, Certificate Authority, Windows Defender, Domain Controller administration, Replication services, Deduplication, RD Gateway, HyperV, etc.) As well as demonstrate and maintain an in-depth understanding of Microsoft Best Practices regarding Windows Server administration.
- Demonstrated experience with SAN and NAS storage systems including FibreChannel and iSCSI integration, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, especially PowerShell, for automation of routine tasks.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VXLANs, Link Aggregation, VPNs, routing.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment, also able to demonstrate strong project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate (AZ-800 and AZ-801). Preferred
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert. Preferred
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104). Preferred
- VMware Certified Professional – Data Center Virtualization (VCP-DCV). Required
- VMware Certified Professional – Network Virtualization (VCP-NSX). Preferred
- Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE). Preferred
