Polygraph Examiner (Civilian)

Starting Salary: $54,570-$118,000 (negotiable based on experience)
Hours: Tuesday-Friday 7:00am-5:00pm
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Conduct polygraph examinations for pre-employment screening and criminal investigations in accordance with federal, state, and departmental guidelines.
- Prepare detailed reports of examination results and findings.
- Collaborate with investigators, HR personnel, and legal teams to support case development.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive information.
- Stay current with developments in polygraph technology and best practices.
- Testify in administrative or legal proceedings when required.
- Adaptable to agency needs when not performing polygraph examinations to include other types of tasks/assignments.
Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Proof of five (5) years investigative experience in law enforcement (including interrogation and interview) and a high school diploma.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Proficiency in established and current polygraph criminal and pre-employment testing techniques.
- Experience with Directed Lie Screen Testing (DLST) (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of forensic interviewing techniques, physiological data analysis
- Adherence to legal and professional standards
- Must be 18 years old, or older
- Must be a US Citizen or possess a current permanent resident card
- Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License or state issued ID card
- Must possess a Social Security Card
- Must not have been convicted of a felony
- Must not have used illegal drugs in the last 12 months
- Must not have received a dishonorable discharge from the United States Armed Forces
- Must be able to speak, write and understand the English language
Required Certifications and/or Qualifications:
- Examiners shall have graduated from an American Polygraph Association (APA) Accredited School
- Examiners shall complete a minimum of 30 continuing education hours every two (2) years in the field of Polygraph or as recommended by APA guidelines
Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform general typing assignments
- Occasionally lift and or move up to 20 pounds
- Able to communicate in clear speech
- Have vision and hearing within normal standards
Annual Compensation:
