Salary: $20.19 per hour

Hours: Vary to include evenings, weekends, and holidays (Maximum of 24.5 hours per week)

Roles and Responsibilities:

The work includes clerical support duties such as:

  • Answering phones
  • Entering information in the computer
  • Exhibit confidence and ease of communication to routinely answer questions from the general public
  • Coordinate and facilitate community based engagement programs
  • Work at event locations when needed. Event shift responsibilities include general set up and break down at event, providing relevant information to attendees during the event and assignment to Ice Cream Response Team events.

Physical Demands:

  • Sit or stand and work on the computer for long periods of time
  • Able to work outdoors for event shifts
  • Use hands to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms
  • Repetitive motion using coordination and dexterity abilities
  • Occasionally lift and or move up to 20 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, ability to adjust focus and peripheral vision

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years old, or older
  • Must have obtained a high school diploma or GED
  • Must be a US Citizen or possess a current permanent resident card
  • Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License or state issued ID card
  • Must possess a Social Security Card
  • Must not have been convicted of a felony
  • Must not have used illegal drugs in the last 12 months
  • Must not have received a dishonorable discharge from the United States Armed Forces
  • Must be able to work various shifts as well as weekends and holidays
  • Must be able to speak, write and understand the English language

Preferred Skills:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Polite, courteous, and professional demeanor
  • Bilingual
