Corrections Clerk

Starting Salary: $42,000
Shift Work: 5:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and 5:00pm – 5:00 a.m. (12-hour shifts)
Annual Compensation:

Role and Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of Clerical tasks related to Booking and Releasing Inmates, and Offender Registrations
- Maintain Emergency Preparedness
- Conduct Video/Remote Inmate Visitation
- Must be proficient in the following
- Data Entry (Computerized)
- Communicating (Verbal and Written)
- Must be able to work a 12 hour schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays
Physical Demands:
- Sit, Stand, Squat, Bend. Able to See, Hear, Speak
- Able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. to include lifting the same overhead
- On the job training, approximately 3 months
Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old, or older
- Must have obtained a high school diploma or GED
- Must be a US Citizen or possess a current permanent resident card
- Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License or state issued ID card
- Must possess a Social Security Card
- Must not have been convicted of a felony
- Must not have used illegal drugs in the last 12 months
- Must not have received a dishonorable discharge from the United States Armed Forces
- Must be able to work various shifts with rotating days off, as well as weekends, holidays and emergency events such as hurricanes
- Must be able to speak, write and understand the English language
Preferred Skills:
- Computer literacy
- Good typing skills (approximately 30 wpm) with a high level of accuracy of data entry
- Polite, courteous and professional demeanor
- Bilingual
- CPR Certified
