Youth Boxing Trainer (Civilian)

Salary: $54,570 – $118,000 (based on experience)
Hours: 40 hours a week (Monday-Friday, may include nights & weekends)
Role and Responsibilities:
The Youth Boxing Trainer will provide mentorship through boxing to the youth as a tool to connect law enforcement with the youth community. This position supports agency youth engagement initiatives by teaching boxing fundamentals, encouraging discipline, and helping build positive relationships between youth and law enforcement personnel. The Youth Boxing Trainer will lead engaging boxing sessions for youth participants, teaching boxing fundamentals, conditioning techniques, and safety practices while fostering positive behavior, discipline, and personal growth. This position is responsible for developing training plans, monitoring participant progress, and maintaining a supportive, structured environment that encourages youth participation and development. The role also includes maintaining program equipment, supporting outreach events and community engagement activities, and ensuring that all training areas operate safely and efficiently.
Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Must be 18 years old, or older
- Must have obtained a high school diploma or GED
- Must be a US Citizen or possess a current permanent resident card
- Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License or state issued ID card
- Must possess a Social Security Card
- Must not have been convicted of a felony
- Must not have used illegal drugs in the last 12 months
- Must not have received a dishonorable discharge from the United States Armed Forces
- Must be able to speak, write and understand the English language
- Experience as a boxing trainer, coach, or competitive boxer
- Experience working with youth in athletic, educational, or mentoring environments
- Strong communication and instructional skills
- Ability to maintain discipline and structure while fostering positive rapport
- Ability to pass all required background checks
Preferred Skills:
- USA Boxing or equivalent coaching certification
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Experience in youth outreach, mentoring, or community-based programming
