Special Persons Registry Database Information Page

This page contains information on how to register an individual for the Lee County Sheriff’s “Special Persons Registry Database”. This information is for public awareness only and will not be used for dissemination outside of LCSO. It is important to note, any information provided to this agency is exempt from public release and is utilized to improve the enrollee’s interactions with law enforcement under Senate Bill 784: Protect Our Loved Ones Act, codified in Florida Statutes Section 402.88.

Please note it is important you bring the following documentation with you in order to complete proper registration of the enrollee:

-Certification of the disability or condition from a medical professional under Fla. Stat. § 402.88(1)(d)(1)
-Documentation of the legal authority for a parent or guardian to enroll a child or ward, including, but not limited to, proof of parentage or guardianship, through:
a. A birth certificate
b. A power of attorney
c. A court order establishing parental rights or guardianship, or
d. Letters of guardianship
