A tip from the public led Lee County detectives to the address of 1138 Amherst Street E., in Lehigh Acres.
During the investigation, probable cause was developed and a search warrant was obtained. Once inside the residence, detectives located twenty-one (21) mature marijuana plants (approximately 6 feet tall) in the final stages of budding. The residence had two rooms fabricated to facilitate a marijuana grow operation. In total, 320 pounds of marijuana/plants was seized from the residence with a street value of approximately $200,000.
Detectives arrested Michel Farran (DOB 12-11-80) and charged him with Marijuana Producing, Marijuana Trafficking and Owning or Renting a vehicle or structure for the Manufacture of marijuana.
Detectives also seized a vehicle owned by Farran under the Florida Contraband Forfeiture Act.
