Driver attempts to outsmart deputy; get arrested

On Sunday evening, Central District patrol deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing a traffic infraction near the intersection of Oleander Avenue and Palm Beach Boulevard.

As the vehicle stopped, the driver – Damian Lorenzo Woolfork (DOB 5/30/00) – knowing he did not have a valid driver license, decided it would be best to quickly swap seats with another passenger in the vehicle and pretend he wasn’t driving.

Not having the wool pulled over his eyes, the aware deputy approached the vehicle and asked Woolfork to step out. Woolfork exited the vehicle but then made another poor decision. He fled on foot.

Deputies from our K-9 Unit and Aviation quickly responded and located Woolfork near the thickly wooded area of Oleander Avenue and Cherokee Street. Woolfork continued to run but was ultimately apprehended by our four-legged deputy, K-9 Kilo.

Based on his bad decisions, Woolfork was arrested and charged accordingly.
