Starting Salary: $15 per hour/ 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (hours vary based on 24 hours per week)

Role and Responsibilities

• Pull vehicles out of service into the bay for mechanics
• Wash the new vehicles when they are delivered from dealer
• Wash vehicles on Fleet Lot once a week
• Prepare vehicles that will be issued out
• Decommission vehicles for auction
• Keep bays clean and organized
• Pick up/ Return parts for service
• Some clerical work
• Inventory of Parts Workhouse
• Drive vehicles to outside vendors when necessary

Physical Demands

• Stand or sit for an extended period of time
• Be in good physical health with the ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Bend, reach, squat, push, pull, lift, kneel, twist and climb
• Tolerate inclement weather, fumes, odors and noise

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Must be 18 years old, or older
• Must have obtained a high school or GED diploma
• Must be a US Citizen or possess a current permanent resident card
• Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License or state issued ID card
• Must possess a Social Security Card
• Must not have been convicted of a felony
• Must not have used illegal drugs in the last 12 months
• Must not have received a dishonorable discharge from the United States Armed Forces
• Must be able to work various shifts with rotating days off, as well as weekends, holidays and emergency events such as hurricanes
• Must be able to speak, write and understand the English language

Preferred Skills

• Basic computer and math skills
• Polite, courteous, and professional demeanor
• Good driving record
