Volunteer of the Year 2019 - Sully

Volunteer of the Year 2019

V.O.I.C.E. Member Dave Sully has been named Lee County Sheriff’s Office Volunteer of the Year for his efforts in a search and rescue mission under adverse weather and sea conditions. This effort resulted in the safe rescue and return of five passengers of a sinking 28 foot Bayliner just west of Red Fish Pass on April 7, 2019.

All five passengers and the Bayliner were returned to dock safely following a scary and time sensitive Mayday Distress Call resulting from a broken bilge pump. We commend VOICE member Sully for his volunteer service and commitment to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. A service that greatly benefits the citizens and residents of Lee County.
