Second Arrest in Homicide Investigation
Lee County Sheriff’s Office Press Release: Death Investigation – Update #3
On September 4, 2017, a second arrest was made regarding the homicide of Johntavious Johnson. With the assistance of the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office, Maurice Everett Wilson, black male, born January 31, 1992, was located at his home in Labelle, Florida and taken into custody without incident.
Wilson was charged with Second Degree Murder and Aggravated Assault for his part in the homicide. Wilson is currently awaiting extradition to Lee County.

Lee County Sheriff’s Office Detectives in conjunction with the U.S. Marshals, have arrested 17-year-old Donshamar Wagner, a black male, born on July 10, 2000, for his part in the homicide of Johntavius Johnson.
Undersheriff Carmine Marceno says investigators worked around the clock to solve the homicide. “This is yet another example of the hard work of the men and women of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office along with the U.S. Marshals. Donshamar Wagner will be behind bars at the Lee County Jail where he deserves to be,” said Undersheriff Marceno.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit was immediately dispatched to Tucker Lane this morning in reference to a death investigation. MCU detectives have determined the death to be a homicide. The victim has been positively identified as Johntavius Johnson (DOB 8-16-95). The DOB given in a press release earlier today was incorrect.
The investigation remains active. Additional updates will be provided via press release.

At approximately 1:12 a.m., deputies responded to a call for service at 2374 Tucker Lane, North Fort Myers. Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased male subject at the residence.
Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit are on scene and the investigation continues.
