Student Arrested for Threat in Lehigh Acres

On Thursday, May 10, 2018, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a complaint reference a Snapchat that indicated a threat of a possible school shooting at East Lee County High School. The school resource officer was notified and was able to identify the suspect as a student.
Due to the nature of the incident, detectives with the Youth Services Criminal Division responded and assumed the investigation. During the course of the investigation several witnesses came forward to say they had seen the Snapchat threating to shoot up the school. Detectives located the student, and following an interview and a search of his phone were able to develop probable cause for an arrest.
Detectives arrested Nathaniel Divincenzo (DOB 09-03-01) of Lehigh Acres and charged him with Intimidation Write/Send/Threat to Kill or Injure.
