Overdose Death Leads to Narcotics Arrests
On Wednesday, March 7, 2018, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office concluded a two month long investigation into the address of 8240 Everhart Drive North Fort Myers, by executing a residential search warrant.
The investigation was initiated after the Major Crimes Unit responded to an overdose death associated with this residence back in January. Shortly after this incident in January, our agency began receiving multiple citizen complaints and Crime Stoppers tips in reference to drugs being sold from the residence.
Due to the opiod crisis that’s sweeping the nation, the Narcotics Unit began investigating these tips and ultimately obtained sufficient evidence for a residential search warrant. Narcotics Unit members executed a search warrant after several undercover buys took place at the residence.
The following subjects were charged during the investigation:
Alexandra Berman, DOB 07/19/92, charged with possession of heroin
Tasha Wyant, DOB 9/30/83, charged with possession of marijuana under 20 grams
Christopher Gloster, DOB 3/28/63, charged with possession of cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine
Joseph Mayes, DOB 1/8/77, charged wtih sale and possession of heroin
The following items were recovered and seized: 16.38 grams of crack cocaine, 21.77 grams of heroin, 14.09 grams of methamphetamine, 0.65 grams of marijuana, .25 caliber Raven Arms, and a Ruger .22 caliber revolver.
