February 28, 2018
On Wednesday, February 28, Lee County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call for service regarding a vehicular burglary that occurred on the 13000 block of Hampton Park Court in Fort Myers.
At approximately 6:28 am, contact was made with both the victim of the vehicular burglary and a witness. The victim indicated that his Chevrolet Silverado had been broken into.
Having been immediately advised by a neighbor of the incident, the victim quickly searched for the suspects and their vehicle.
The victim located that vehicle, a red in color 2002 Honda Accord, as the suspects exited apparently attempting another burglary down the street. Upon approaching the empty vehicle, the victim recognized his stolen gym bag inside. He removed the keys to ensure that the suspects were unable to drive off.
Alerted by his barking dogs, the homeowner came outside. Firearm in hand, he ordered the suspects to remain until law enforcement arrived. The two suspects complied and remained at the scene.
Seth Logan (W/M DOB 08/19/1998) was arrested and charged with Grand Theft of a Firearm, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Armed Burglary of a Conveyance and Grand Theft.
Vanessa Martinez (H/F DOB 04/13/2000) was taken into custody and charged with Armed Burglary of a Conveyance, Grand Theft of a Firearm and Grand Theft.
