Home Invasion Robber Sentenced to 5 Years - Update #1
The second man arrested for a 2016 armed home invasion robbery in North Fort Myers is also headed to prison.
Anthony Satchel (DOB 6-12-96) was sentenced yesterday to two years in prison, followed by 4 years of probation. Satchel's accomplice, Shandarious Welch (DOB 10-18-99) was sentenced earlier this month to 5 years in prison.

One of two men arrested for an armed home invasion robbery in North Fort Myers is headed to prison. The other will learn his fate later this month.
On September 30, 2016, deputies responded to a just occurred home invasion at 939 Poinsettia Drive in North Fort Myers. The victim advised two male suspects entered the residence and that one of the suspects pointed a gun at her, her boyfriend and her children. During the robbery, money and two cell phones were taken.
North district deputies located a known suspect, Shandarious Welch, at his residence. Welch was positively identified by the victims. A search warrant was completed on Welch's residence and the victim's property was located in his bedroom. Through the investigation, a second suspect was located and arrested.
On January 18, 2018, Shandarious Welch (DOB 10-18-99), following a plea agreement, was sentenced to 62 months in prison. The second suspect, Anthony Satchel (DOB 6-12-96) is scheduled to be sentenced on January 29th.
