November 16, 2017
On the morning of Sunday, October 8, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received a number of calls for service regarding vehicular burglaries in the Timberwalk Community in Fort Myers.
Responses to the numerous complainants, as well as a thorough neighborhood canvass, revealed a total of 12 burglaries of neighborhood vehicles.
Cars and trucks were rummaged through and a host of items were taken.
LCSO detectives painstakingly interviewed victims, neighbors and Timberwalk security staff and developed a suspect, William Daniel Beemer (W/M DOB 11-17-1997), a Florida Atlantic University student that previously resided in the Timberwalk community.
On November 14, 2017, detectives were able to locate and arrest Beemer in Estero.
Beemer is currently in LCSO custody and has been charged with twelve (12) counts of Burglary Unoccupied Conveyance, one (1) count of Grand Theft, six (6) counts of Petit Theft, Possession of Marijuana (Less than 20 grams), Possession of a Controlled Substance without Prescription and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
