Yes, you'll see the cows promoting another toy drive at area Chick-fil-A restaurants beginning tomorrow!  For the 3rd year in a row, the initiative will bring joy to young ones across Lee and Collier Counties in December.

The official launch of the outreach will begin at 10:00 am with a press conference at the Chick-fil-A located on the southwest corner of U.S. 41 and Cypress Lake Drive in Fort Myers.  Just look for the herd of cows, deputies and Sheriff's Office/SYAL vehicles!  The effort is done in partnership with the Lee County Sheriff's Office, Lee County Sheriff's Youth Activities League and Collier County Sheriff's Office.

Starting on Friday, November 17, 2017 and continuing through December 16th, five (5) locations in Lee County will accept toy donations.  The Lee County Sheriff's Youth Activities League (SYAL) has embraced the drive as a part of their ongoing efforts to make a positive impact on youth countywide and will help coordinate with each Sheriff's Office patrol district. Lee County deputies will hand out the toys as a part of their annual gift distributions to needy families at Christmas.

"This is one of the times of year where we have the opportunity to bring hope and happiness to some families who can really use the help," said Lee County Sheriff Mike Scott.  "It's a part of the job few get to see, but illustrates the caring attitude and dedicated service to our citizens over and beyond enforcing laws and maintaining safety.  We're proud to be a part."

Those who wish to donate new toys are welcome to drop them off at any of these Chick-fil-A locations:

•Cypress Lake, 13610 S. Tamiami Trail, Fort Myers, FL 33912

•Colonial Boulevard, 4752 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33966
