09/25/07 New: A thirteen-minute video about your potential career with LCSO is now available from our home page Join Our Team information box.

08/2007 New: A search box is now available on many LCSO web pages on the right side below the quick links.  In the new search box, type a word or phrase you are looking for in the LCSO web site and click the "Go" button to see a list of LCSO web pages that match your search.

06/15/07 New: 2007/2008 LCSO Budget request and 2007-2011 Strategic Plan documents published to the site available from About Us and from News.

06/01/07 New: Animated public service announcement against driving under the influence added to top right corner of the LCSO home page and several others.

Since 04/2007 New: We've been adding new photos in the top right box of many of our web pages, particularly under the About Us section, so you can see LCSO members in action.

12/20/06 New: Do you have a teenager interested in law enforcement? They can join the Lee County Sheriff's Office Explorers Program and begin preparing for their career. Read the new on-line description of the program under Crime Prevention.

08/18/06 New:  Learn about Project Lifesaver, new to Lee County, and how it can help victims of Alzheimer's, Down syndrome, and other related mental disorders. It can be found under Crime Prevention.

New: Frequently-Asked Domestic Violence Questions may help you protect yourself or your loved one from further violence.

08/17/06 New: Frequently-Asked Civil Questions can help you with civil process papers, including the Sheriff's Office fees for these services, the steps for eviction and the requirements for levy.

05/18/06 New:  The Lee County Gun Range application is now available for printing from our web site, available from the Gun Range page or from the Gun Range Application page.

05/17/06 New: Sexual Predator Notifications are now available for fast reference from their own page as well as from the main News page.

03/10/06 New: Learn about the new, state-of-the-art Lee County Gun Range, where it's located, and how you can make use of this exciting new facility.

03/08/06 New: Communities Against Senior Senior Exploitation, otherwise known as the C.A.S.E. Program, is introduced on line under Crime Prevention. Read about this innovative fraud prevention program which the Lee County Sheriff's Office has been chosen to become an affiliate of.

02/22/06 New:   Certain Lee County Active Warrants are now displayed on line along with the Crime Stoppers phone number to allow you to report a tip anonymously.

12/23/05 New: You've heard about "jail birds" but how about Cell Dogs? Our Corrections Bureau runs a life-saving program for homeless dogs that provides our inmates with potential job skills for a better future.

12/08/05 New Look: The Lee County Sheriff's Office web site has been redesigned with a bold new look.

10/05/05 New: Three main pages have been translated into Spanish to assist our Spanish-speaking visitors and residents, En Español.

10/01/05 New: Three main pages have been translated into German to assist with German visitors and residents, Auf Deutsch.

07/22/05 New Look: The Lee County Sheriff's Office web site receives a fresh look.

06/28/05 Resumed:  Citizens Academy will resume September 2005.  Go to Crime Prevention, Opportunities and Services, then select Community to see a description of this wonderful learning opportunity for you.  You will also find there a link to the Citizens Academy brochure and application.

06/09/05 New:  Help us capture Lee County Wanted Fugitives and you may be eligible for an award!  Review the photos and information on the new Wanted Fugitives page and call tips in to Crime Stoppers anonymously.  Go to Crime Activity and select Wanted Fugitives.

02/10/05 New:  Search for Lee County arrestees or inmates by name.  On the home page click Arrests and Inmates and select Search Lee County Arrests; OR from the Crime Activity page select Arrests and Inmates, then select the Search Arrest Bookings by Name option; OR from About Us, select Corrections Bureau, select Arrests and Inmates, then the Search Arrest Bookings by Name option.

12/07/04 New:  Arrests & Inmates including frequently asked questions, inmate visitation and information regarding mailing to or bringing items for the inmate. The link is on our home page for easy access.

08/31/04 New:  Help identify unidentified deceased persons found in Florida using a link to search Florida Unidentified Decedents (FLUID) database from Crime Activity page or from Missing Persons page.

06/09/04 New:  The LCSO Budget Request for the year 2004-2005 is available for your review from the News page or from About Us.

06/08/04 New:  A link is now available to the 2004 Hurricane Seminar Schedule provided by the Lee County Emergency Management.  Find the link to the schedule on the Crime Prevention page and the Helpful Links page.

04/21/04 Restored: Crime prevention Opportunities and Services are back on line.

04/14/04 Restored: 
- Active Traffic Incidents are back on line on Traffic Reports under News.

04/08/04 Finally!  After a long, difficult rebuilding of our computer network and web site, most of the live LCSO News is back on line along with the Incidents by Street search.

12/22/03 Restored:  Lee County Sheriff's Office web site restored with static (nonchanging) information only.  Additional security measures and equipment is being purchased and installed before live data can be restored.

09/17/03 New: Check the traffic live before you drive on our Active Traffic Incidents  page found on Traffic Reports under News.

07/21/03 New:  The LCSO Budget Request for the year 2003-2004 is available for your review from the News page or from About Us.

07/17/03 New: Search for personal property recovered in a multi-agency law enforcement operation.  Look on the News for All Press Releases to read about the operation and search for your property, or visit the Crime Activity page to Search Recovered Property.

New: Read or print various crime prevention brochures on the new Brochures page or from the Services and Opportunities page where available brochures are listed next to the specific program or topic.  Citizens Academy will resume September 2005.  Both pages offering brochures are found under Crime Prevention.
