02/08/08 New:  Guidelines for recovering your stolen property if it is found in a pawn shop.  Look under Crime Activity, or in the F.A.Q.'s (Frequently Asked Question).  Also find our brochure, Guide to Rights and Remedies of the Florida State Pawnbroking Act  with detachable Notice Claim Form under Crime Prevention, Brochures.

08/2007 New: A search box is now available on many LCSO web pages on the right side below the quick links.  In the new search box, type a word or phrase you are looking for in the LCSO web site and click the "Go" button to see a list of LCSO web pages that match your search.

08/17/06 New: Frequently-Asked Civil Questions can help you with civil process papers, including the Sheriff's Office fees for these services, the steps for eviction and the requirements for levy.

05/17/06 New: Sexual Predator Notifications are now available for fast reference from their own page as well as from the main News page.

06/28/05 Resumed:  Citizens Academy will resume September 2005.  Go to Crime Prevention, Opportunities and Services, then select Community to see a description of this wonderful learning opportunity for you.  You will also find there a link to the Citizens Academy brochure and application.

06/09/05 New:  Help us capture Lee County Wanted Fugitives and you may be eligible for an award!  Review the photos and information on the new Wanted Fugitives page and call tips in to Crime Stoppers anonymously.  Go to Crime Activity and select Wanted Fugitives.

02/10/05 New:  Search for Lee County arrestees or inmates by name.  On the home page click Arrests and Inmates and select Search Lee County Arrests; OR from the Crime Activity page select Arrests and Inmates, then select the Search Arrest Bookings by Name option; OR from About Us, select Corrections Bureau, select Arrests and Inmates, then the Search Arrest Bookings by Name option.

04/08/04 Finally!  After a long, difficult rebuilding of our computer network and web site, most of the live LCSO News is back on line along with the Incidents by Street search.

12/22/03 Restored:  Lee County Sheriff's Office web site restored with static (nonchanging) information only.  Additional security measures and equipment is being purchased and installed before live data can be restored.
