Major James Barraco began his career in Corrections with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office in 1989. During his time in the Corrections Bureau he has held many positions and worked his way through the ranks to include his present position as the Downtown Site Commander.
In this position Major Barraco oversees the daily operations of the Main Downtown Jail, the Security and Inspections Division, the Juvenile Detention Center, and Court Operations. He is dual certified in both Corrections and Law Enforcement.
Major Barraco is married and has two teenage children.
