William C. Bergquist is a third-generation Floridian with strong ties to the Fort Myers area where his mother and his grandfather both were born. In addition, his great-grandfather served as Lee County Property Appraiser in the early 1900s. He graduated from Florida Southern College with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and Finance. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Public Administration from IMPAC University.
His professional career has been in the public service sector, starting with Budget and Operations for Lee County Parks and Recreation. He joined the Sheriff’s Office in 1999 and currently works as Executive Director of Civilian Operations, where he serves as a liaison to other governmental agencies.
Outside of work, he remains strongly involved in the local community with his family and church, including coaching, teaching and other leadership activities. He and his wife, Bonnie, have six wonderful children.
