Colonel Gill Allen began his career with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office in 1990, starting out as a Patrol Deputy and working his way through the ranks. Colonel Allen has held command positions in numerous units within LCSO that include, Patrol Bureau, Administration Bureau, Major Crimes, Planning and Research, Watch Commander, and District Commander. As Colonel, he currently oversees all Law Enforcement Operations.
During his time in the Major Crimes Unit, he assisted in the investigations of many notable cases such as the Lords of Chaos and the “Baby” Grodin homicide.
Colonel Gill Allen is a native of Lee County and a third generation Floridian, who has a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology and a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
