Chief Deputy Gil Allen

Gil AllenChief Deputy Gill Allen began his career with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office in 1990, starting out as a Patrol Deputy and advanced through the ranks. Chief Deputy Allen has held command positions in the Patrol Bureau, Administration Bureau, Major Crimes, Planning and Research, Watch Commander, District Commander and, most recently, Colonel in charge of all Law Enforcement Operations.

During his time in the Major Crimes Unit, he assisted in the investigations of many notable cases such as the Lords of Chaos and the tragic homicide of “baby” Grodin. 

The Chief is a native of Lee County, a third generation Floridian and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology and a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
