Active Employee Basic Life Insurance

Eligible group(s)- All Full-Time employees in active employment. Your life insurance value is equal to one times (1X) your annual salary, rounded up to the next higher thousand. The plan also pays one times your annual salary for accidental death, 50% for accidental loss of sight, and 50% for accidental loss of an arm or a leg. This coverage is paid for entirely by Lee County Sheriff's Office. Also, Employee's with the titles of:

    Civilian- Manager and above

    Certified- Lt. and above  

Will receive two times (2X) their annual salary up to a max of $250,000.00 for certified or $200,000.00 for civilian.

Upon death, the full amount will be paid to the named beneficiary or beneficiaries. If you do not name a beneficiary, or if all named beneficiaries do not survive you, or if your named beneficiary is disqualified, your death benefit will be paid to your estate.
