The man found yesterday morning has been positively identified as 50 year old (d.o.b. 2/16/62) Christopher Mark Brothers of Cape Coral, Florida. Detectives with the Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit are continuing the investigation into his murder. No specific details as to the manner of death are being released at this time.

(Original Release: Deceased Male Found Off Isolated Road - August 27, 2012)
On Monday, August 27, 2012, at 8:57 a.m., the Lee County Sheriff's Office received a call about a body found near the intersection of West 18th Street and Edison Avenue. A passerby found an adult white male lying off the roadway on the north side. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Due to the nature of the incident, detectives with the Sheriff's Office Major Crimes Unit have been assigned to investigate. Crime scene technicians are on scene to document and collect potential evidence. The identify of the man is awaiting positive identification by the District 21 Medical Examiner. An autopsy will be performed to determine cause of death.
