Detectives are searching for the man that robbed a convenience store in Lehigh Acres. On July 15, 2012, at approximately 11:30 p.m., deputies responded to a robbery call at the 7-Eleven located at 530 Joel Boulevard.
According to the clerk, the suspect entered the store with a stocking cap pulled over his face. The stocking cap had holes cut for the eyes. The clerk says the suspect brandished a knife and demanded all the money from the cash register. The clerk handed the suspect an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5 foot 9 inches tall and around 25 years old with a thin build. He was wearing a long black sleeve shirt and blue jeans with white and red trim on the pockets.
An eyewitness chased the suspect across Joel Boulevard to the back of a church located on the corner of 6th Street and Joel Boulevard. The witness saw the suspect hop on a four-wheeler behind the church and take off.
