Highway Interdiction Bust

On Wednesday, June 14, 2017, the Lee County Sheriff's Office Highway Interdiction Unit conducted a traffic stop on I-75 near mile marker 144 northbound for following too closely.

Contact was made with the driver and deputies explained the reason for the stop. During the course of the traffic stop probable cause was established to search the vehicle.

During the search an illegal credit-card encoder/reader and several fraudulent credit cards and gift cards were located. Also seized was $4,600 dollars that was obtained from the fraudulent use of the credit cards.

The suspect was identified as Eric Sedore (DOB 11-13-93), from Queens, New York. Sedore was victimizing numerous individuals and retailers throughout South Florida from Miami to Ft. Myers.

At the conclusion of the investigation, Eric Sedore was subsequently charged with Possession of two or more Counterfeited Credit Cards, Marijuana Possession not more than 20 grams, and Fraudulent Illegal use of Credit Cards.
