Sexual Predator Notification
Thursday, August 14, 2014

Pursuant to Florida Statute 775.21 the Public Safety Information Act of 1997, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office is making formal community notification of a sexual predator registered as residing in Lee County, as well as whether the victim was a minor or adult at the time of offense. We are hopeful that local media will assist in this process by broadcasting or printing the name, description, and photograph of the court designated predator.

Paulo A. Rendon (DOB 06-30-56) recently was released from the Department of Corrections. Rendon now resides at 4110 Staley Road, Fort Myers, FL 33905.

Name/Description: Paulo Rendon; white male; 5’6" tall; 163 lbs.; gray hair; brown eyes.

Address: 4110 Staley Road, Fort Myers, FL 33905.

Rendon was convicted of Lewd or Lascivious child under 16 and Sexual Battery Adult/Victim under 12 in July 1998 in Lee County, Florida.

Photographs and additional information on sexual offenders and predators can be retrieved on the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) website at http://www.fdle.state.fl.us. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office distributes this information to area schools, state registered daycare centers and Lee County Parks and Recreation facilities located within a one mile radius of the predator’s residence.

Additionally, the Sheriff's Office has joined a partnership with FDLE by offering a link to a new feature. FDLE developed a notification service at the direction of the Florida Legislature as part of the state's compliance with the federal Adam Walsh Act. Citizens may select an unlimited number of addresses and/or offenders to track...and can update their selections at any time. The alert system will send e-mail notifications within 24 to 48 hours of an address change to the state's registry.
