A North Fort Myers man has died from injuries he received in a crash last week.
Michael Moore (DOB 3-16-40) of 1010 Hancock Bridge Parkway, North Fort Myers was seriously injured in the crash that occurred on March 18 at the intersection of Hancock Bridge Parkway and Beau Drive in North Fort Myers.
The investigation shows that a 2004 red Volvo convertible, driven by Lisa Jolly of Bokeelia, attempted to cross Hancock Bridge Parkway in violation of the "right turn only" sign posted at the intersection. A 2000 Toyota Camry, driven by Moore, was making a left turn onto Beau Drive when the Volvo pulled in front of him and the two vehicles collided. The driver of the Volvo, Jolly, was found at fault for the crash and issued a citation for violation of a traffic control device.
In light of the death of Moore, the Lee County Sheriff's Office Traffic Homicide Unit has now assumed the investigation.
