On Saturday, November 16, 2013, at 10:48 p.m., a 9-1-1 operator in the Communications Center of the Lee County Sheriff's Office received a call about a traffic crash. The incident occurred on Gladiolus Drive, west of Pine Ridge Road. Deputies responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, it was apparent a single motorcycle had crashed and two riders ejected. Due to the nature of the crash, a Traffic Homicide Detective with the Sheriff's Office Traffic Unit was assigned to investigate.
Preliminary findings indicate the operator of the motorcycle failed to negotiate the curve and struck the center median. No other vehicles are believed to be involved. The driver, identified as Terry Lee Kremer, age 70, of 7209 Coca Sabel Lane, Fort Myers died as a result of injuries. He was pronounced deceased at a local hospital. His rider, 55 year old Vicki McPhee Bell of Fort Myers was also transported to the hospital. Alcohol/drugs may have been a factor in the crash. The investigation continues.
