Lee County Husband and Wife Charged in Two Bank Robberies
Wednesday, September 11, 2013

Robbery detectives say two people under arrest for a bank robbery in Mississippi are the same husband and wife duo that robbed a North Fort Myers bank less than two weeks ago.

Lee County residents Heather Landrum (DOB 10-19-80) and Donald Landrum (DOB 4-28-75) were arrested and jailed last Friday (September 6) for a bank robbery in Ocean Springs, Mississippi.  With the help of the FBI, robbery detectives in Lee County were able to identify the Landrums as possible suspects in the robbery of the Regions Bank in North Fort Myers on August 30.  Local witnesses were shown photographs and were able to positively identify Heather Landrum as the woman who robbed the bank wearing a denim hat and her husband Donald Landrum as the getaway driver.  Detectives secured a warrant today for the arrest of Heather Landrum for Robbery without a firearm or weapon and for the arrest of Donald Landrum for Grand Theft.

The Landrums remain in a Mississippi jail.  Once charges there are resolved, the Landrums will be extradited to Lee County to face charges here.
