On Saturday, June 29, 2013, at 2:29 a.m., the Lee County Sheriff's Office received a call about a traffic crash. The incident occurred at 3709 23rd Street S.W. in Lehigh Acres, Florida. Deputies responded to the scene.
Upon arrival, it was confirmed an SUV had struck a parked car in a neighboring driveway and then the garage side of the residence at the address above. The vehicle landed on its side and pinned the passenger inside. The driver of the vehicle was seen by witnesses walking away.
Due to the nature of the crash, a detective with the Sheriff's Office Traffic Unit was assigned to investigate. He plowed through the cul-de-sac, struck the parked car and came to rest after going airborne to strike the roof and side of the home.
Williams was located and transported to a local hospital with head injuries. His blood alcohol content was over two times the legal limit at .17. He has been given a notice to appear in court on multiple DUI charges including DUI with property damage and DUI with injury to another, as well as other traffic offenses. His license had been suspended, so he was cited accordingly.
His passenger and wife, 38 year old Tiffany Chenatte Roberts (d-o-b 7/31/74) also sustained head injuries and was transported to the hospital after extricated from the vehicle. The injuries to driver and passenger are not believed to be life-threatening. There was an adult and two children in the home at the time of the crash, but no one was injured.
