I have received a bill for an unpaid balance after my incarceration. Is this for real?
The Lee County Sheriff’s Office has entered into a partnership with Advent Financial Systems in an effort to hold former arrestees and criminal registrants financially accountable for fees owed and to lessen the burden on the taxpayers of Lee County. Monies owed may include fees imposed for booking, medical expenses, damaged property, criminal registration processing or other services incurred while incarcerated.
Included in your letter is information on how to remit payment, amount owed and contact information. Payment arrangements can be made if you cannot make full payment by the due date by calling 1-866-494-8556.
